Designed by landscape architects Wirtz Internation N.V., Jubilee Park is located at the heart of the Canary Wharf development and is a roof garden landscape located above Canary Wharf Underground Station and Mall of the Wharf retail centre. Completed in 2002 this park has now had time to mature, settle in and develop its character. The park is rectangular in shape and bound at the perimeter by a single species native hedge.

The hard landscape elements within the park include include raised water features and raised planters. The water feature elements in combination form a serpentine feature running from east to west. The individual raised planters are also serpentine in form and contain Pennisetum alopecuriodes grass. Both these elements are clad in the same material and visually appear to be a dry stone walling.

There are an impressive number of Metasequoia glyptostroboides trees planted in this urban environment. These trees in combination with Prunus ‘Shirotae’Prunus ‘Shirofugen’Taxodium distichum and Quercus x turneri provide a variety of open and enclosed spaces and in locations feels surprisingly rural. At ground level there is a network of paths, limited shrub planting and lawn. In addition the ground plain has been gently contoured.
