The Duke of York Square is a contemporary space located off the Kings Road London. It was master planned by Paul Davis and Partners with landscape design by Elizabeth Banks Associates. There are a number of fountains  this square which only become apparent when switched. These are simple water jets ejecting water through paving slabs and this design ensures the maximum flexibility of this space is maintained as they can be turned off when the space is required.

Dianna, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, London

30 Dec

The Dianna, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain was designed by landscape architects Gustafson Porter and built as a memorial to Princess Diana. The intention of the design was to reflect the various aspects of her life. This is mirrored in the memorial by the way the water behaves in a variety of ways as it passes through the water feature.

The water feature is constructed of Cornish granite and as visitors to the fountain are encouraged to engage with the water feature. The surface of the granite has been beautifully textured to provide a non slip surface, particularly important when wet.
